• Completes OCLS Dissertation or Doctoral Project Checklist. 
• Proofs final draft for common errors. 

Step Two - Reviews appropriate Dissertation Manual or Style Guide for the correct:

• Margins (including each chapter's first page)* 
• Title Page
• Copyright Page
• Committee Certification Page*
• Abstract 
• Page Numbering (Roman and Arabic Numerals and correct placement in the document)
• Table of Contents
• List of Tables*
• List of Figures*
• Appendices*

*If applicable

Step Three - Reviews document and completes changes requested by professional APA Style Editor.

Step Four - Completes form and submits final draft for OCLS Dissertation Review.

• Reviews margins*, title page, copyright page, committee certification page*, abstract, table of contents, list of tables*, list of figures*, and appendices* for correct format. 
• Checks chapter one for correct APA Headings levels. 
• Reviews two (2) tables and two (2) figures for correct APA Style.*
• Looks over appendices for correct APA Style.*
• Checks first two (2) pages of References list entries for correct APA Style. 
• Cross-checks in-text citations for first two (2) pages of References. 

If the OCLS Librarian reports multiple errors, they will return the final draft dissertation to the candidate for correction. OCLS will copy the candidate's APA Style Editor and Dissertation Chair on this email.
