What a student does...	What an OCLS librarian does...
Step One - Learn APA & Academic Writer Watches Academic Writer tutorial videos and writes paper in APA Style.
Step Two - Format Review Use the OCLS Format Review as you start to learn APA Style and Academic Writer.	Reviews your APA Style format (Title Page, In-text Citations, APA Headings, Tables, Figures, and Reference list). Notes the APA errors and how to fix them. We do not correct the APA for you.
Step Three - Correct the Paper Reads and reviews the librarian’s feedback and corrects the paper. Uses feedback to learn APA and apply it to future papers.
Step Four - Keep Learning APA Use Format Reviews for your first few courses. As you learn APA Style and Academic Writer, you will be ready to write without a review.	Answers APA Style and Academic Writer questions when you have them. OCLS reserves the right to refuse to complete an APA Format Review if Academic Writer has not been used to create your paper.

Paper Reviews

We do not review discussion board posts, journals, reflections, or similar assignments.
Doctoral Students (DBA, DMIN, DNP, DOL, EdD): We only review papers and/or reference lists for 700-level (first-year) courses. For information on dissertation reviews, please email OCLS.

We only review APA Style elements: Title Page, In-Text Citations, APA Headings, Tables or Figures, and References list.

Time Frame

For APA Reviews, please allow a minimum of two (2) business days (not including weekends or holidays) for OCLS to finish your Format Review.

Graduate (Master and Doctoral) papers, will require additional time for review.

Auditing Dissertations, Applied Doctoral projects, Capstone Papers, and similar documents require a minimum of four (4) weeks (not including weekends or holidays).
