FACULTY LINKING GUIDE
Always use OCLS databases for National & Global and Wesley Seminary courses when linking to library resources. Jackson Library database links cause authentication errors for off-campus students.
- From the library homepage, click on General Databases and select Films on Demand.
- Locate the video you'd like to add to your course.
- Click on Share and then select the Embed/Link tab.
- For videos with segments, you will see the option to copy either that segment (Segment URL) or the entire video (Record URL).
- For videos with no segments, you will only see the option to copy the Record URL.
- Click Copy next to the correct URL option to copy that URL.
- Test the link in an incognito or private browser window to make sure it works, and add to your course.
- From the library homepage, click on General Databases and select Academic Video Online.
- Locate the video you'd like to add to your course.
- From the video playback page, click on Share.
- Click the Copy button next to Via permalink section.
- Test the link in an incognito or private browser window to make sure it works, and add to your course.
- From the library homepage, click on General Databases and select Ebook Central.
- Locate the book you'd like to add to your course.
- Click Share Link to Book and copy the link that appears.
- Test the link in an incognito or private browser window to make sure it works, and add to your course.
To link to a specific chapter or section of a book in Ebook Central:
- From the library homepage, click on General Databases and select Ebook Central.
- Locate the chapter or section you want to add to your course.
- Click the Share Link icon and copy the link that appears.
- Test the link in an incognito or private browser window to make sure it works, and add to your course.
These instructions can be used for any EBSCO database, including OCLS QUICKsearch.
- Locate the content you want to add to your course.
- Click on Permalink and copy the URL.
- Test the link in an incognito or private browser window to make sure it works, and add to your course.
These instructions can be used for any ProQuest database.
- Locate the content you want to add to your course.
- Click All Options .
- Copy the URL.
- Test the link in an incognito or private browser window to make sure it works, and add to your course.
