Start Your Research with QUICKsearch Research Starters

 

 

Do you have a topic in mind but not sure where to start with your research?

Get your research started with QUICKsearch Research Starters. 

 

Research Starters are available for thousands of popular topics and provide an informative article and a detailed bibliography on the topic. 

 

On the OCLS homepage, scroll down to the search box area and select the QUICKsearch tab. 

 

In the search box, type your keyword or topic, for example, climate change

The Research Starter will be at the top of the list.

 

Many Research Staters have Other Topics or similar topics. Click on the topic to see its Research Starter. 

 

Click on the title or more to open the Research Starter article. 

 

The Research Starter includes an overview of the topic, background, key concepts, and a bibliography to continue your research and links to Related Information.

You will find terms, names, organizations, and more linked in the article. When you click the link, you will go to the Research Starter for that topic. To go back to your main Research Starter, click the Back button above the Choose Language drop-down.
